Members of the York County School Boards are honored for their service and belief in the value of education. More than 150 superintendents, school board members and business and education partners attend this annual event.

YCAL will host The CREW (Career Readiness Education Workshop) on Tuesday, March 7th at HACC's York Campus for select York County high school juniors and seniors. Students receive information on career pathways and attend a Post-Secondary & Employment Skills Session.

An event for York County educators focused on the Career Education and Work Standards. This event encourages empowerment by providing each educator in attendance with four impactful, relevant lesson plans to adapt to the grade level in which they specialize, as well as valuable resources to utilize in their classrooms.

This program provides educators with access to capital to implement classroom innovation regarding career exploration and awareness in the form of seed money grants, up to $1,000 each. YCAL is currently accepting applications and will continue to do so up to January 22, 2016.

The Annual Meeting & Recognition Reception is held to recognize and say thank you to all of those that have partnered with YCAL and offered support throughout the year.

The 5th Annual Career Education and Work Standards Symposium will be held on Wednesday, February 25th from 4:30pm-7:45pm at the York County School of Technology. The event includes four valuable lesson plans that reflect PA's Career Education and Work Standards, Act 48 credits, dinner, and door prizes. The Symposium is open to York County educators, K-12, from YCAL member schools/districts.

Don't miss this opportunity to meet industry professionals from the various building construction trades. The event will allow students, parents and educators to learn more about the many apprenticeship opportunities available in construction. Learn about the opportunity to "Earn While You Learn" in college-accredited programs. Learn why an apprenticeship may be right for you, your child or your students.

This important event will provide you the opportunity to participate in valuable conversation between other business leaders and top school officials in our community.

Shadow Fair: Eastern Region

Businesses and school districts including Central, Eastern, Northeastern, Red Lion and the York County School of Technology are working together to host a new event that will give employers the opportunity to connect with York County’s future workforce.

The 3rd Annual York County Workforce Development Summit will highlight state programs available to employers to assist in the hiring process. Wednesday, May 2, 2012 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM York Fair / York Expo Center 334 Carlisle Ave York,PA 17404

195 York County high school juniors and seniors attended Career Opportunities Day on Thursday, March 10 at HACC's York Campus.

Over 170 educators from York County attended the Career Education and Work Standards Symposium on Wednesday, February 16 at Dallastown Area High School.
