York County Alliance for Learning Elects New Board Members
YORK, PA – The York County Alliance for Learning (YCAL) Board of Directors recently elected three new members to their Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2023. The YCAL Board is composed of a specific balance of representatives from Education, Business & Labor, and Community Organizations & Agencies to provide multi-faceted input and guidance to the organization.
The three new members are Christopher Harris, Attorney, Stock and Leader, Attorneys at Law (Business & Labor), Laurie Lourie, Executive Vice President, York Builders Association (Community), and Pam Scott, Career Coordinator, Red Lion Area School District (Education).

Three new officers were also appointed with Sully Pinos, Executive Director, BLOOM Business Empowerment Center, York County Economic Alliance being elected to the role of Board Secretary, Thomas Kaizar, CPA, Senior Manager, Tax Services Group, RKL, LLP being elected as Board Treasurer and Dr. Scott Krauser, Superintendent, York Suburban School District being elected as the Partner School Superintendent Liaison. New committee chairpersons were also elected with John Resh, General Manager, Industrial Minerals, Pennsy Supply serving as the Chair of the Strategic Planning and Governance committee and newly elected board member Pam Scott being elected as the Co-Chair of the Education Committee. YCAL connects educators and employers to engage students in various career development activities to help drive the workforce. YCAL currently offers 40 different Career Exploration Programs as well as Pre-Apprenticeship programs in Building Trades, Electrical Trades, and Manufacturing to local high school students. YCAL also offers educator enrichment programs such as the Career Education and Work Standards Symposium and Educator in the Workplace.
